How To Maintain Your Weight After A Cleanse

So you’ve made it through the season of juice cleanses, diets and fitness programs. You gave it your all, made so many sacrifices and got pretty good results from all that hard work. But, pretty soon the scale starts creeping back up and before you know it, you’re back in those stretchy pants within a few weeks.

We know it’s not the best feeling watching the scale go back to where you started.

Why can’t the weight just stay off? How can we make those results last?

We’ll share our secret tips (list below)  to developing healthy habits that will lead you to maintaining a healthy weight all year long.

  • 1. Don’t skip breakfast.
  • Ever heard “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day”? It’s true. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day because it helps kickstart your metabolism. It’s also what sets you up for your entire days work. We always recommend that you start your day off with some plant-based protein because it activates your system and prepares you for a day of clean eating. Studies have shown that higher protein intake in the morning results in higher weight loss.

  • 2. Keep hydrated.
  • Water and Greens. Drinking water helps flush out toxins from the body by staying hydrated daily. On average you should be drinking at least eight glasses of 8 oz. of water per day (64 ounces total). Drinking your daily greens will also help balance your alkaline levels.  Our greens is full of antioxidants and nutrients that help rid your body of toxic substances.

  • 3. Nutrition.
  • Typically after a cleanse we recommend for you to simply continue your normal routine, but adding in your juices and of course, eating clean meals. However, we’re only human and  if you treat yourself to a not-so-healthy meal, it’s okay. Just drink a Pineapple Chia Cleanse before bed to help push out extra toxins from your body and you’ll be as good as new.

  • 4. Getting enough sleep.
  • Rest is extremely important. Sleep deprivation may lead to weight gain, as your body stores more the longer it stays awake. The longer you’re awake, the more likely you’ll get hungry at later hours causing you to binge eat extra calories before bed- which would be bad.

  • 5. Move your body.
  • You don’t have to do a 60 minute workout every single day. It’s all about balance and just moving your body, it’s really that simple. The minute you get out of bed, stretch and take a few breaths to prepare yourself for your morning routine. Throughout your day, try and get outside and just move. It can be as simple as walking or taking the stairs instead of the elevator, anything- just get moving.

So, how do we stay on track, get our veggies for optimal health and live our busy lives all at the same time?
